Our ‘Tarbi’ is a one of a kind, custom-built retro bay-window lux Kombi, with a spaciously upgraded sleeping cabin. This Kombi is fitted with a fuel-injected Subaru engine and is the very first Kombi to ever be fitted with a compatible Subaru automatic transmission. All the mechanical and running gear like steering, suspension, brakes and the drivetrain are upgraded to provide a safe, reliable and comfortable ride. The rear custom cabin is fitted with kitchenette, fridge with freezer, cupboards, table and a very comfortable double bed. It is also fitted with a 240 V reverse cycle air conditioning to keep the sleeping cabin warm or cool. (Note: A/C can only be used with 240 V mains electricity) It has 12V and a 240V electricity setup. You can plug it in on a powered site, or use the solar panels designed to keep the auxiliary battery charged when going off-grid. It has everything you need for an enjoyable road trip, including rear vision camera, Bluetooth stereo unit and comfortable high back front seats. It has all the charm and romance of a classic VW Komi, with some awesome upgrades to the comfort, performance, safety and driving pleasure.
